Michigan COVID-19 Cases by County
Sick of wearing a mask? Sick of COVID-19 being in the news? Sick of the state being shut down? Well, some people are actually SICK. Michigan has been one of the most severely effected states in the United States since the country has been hit with being involved in a global pandemic. The map below represents the amount of total COVID-19 cases distinguished by county.
For this assignment we were asked to create a map that visualizes a state-wide topic that we are interested in. So why did I choose COVID-19 cases by county above anything else? This topic is particularly interesting to me, not only being from the metro-Detroit area throughout the majority of the hard-hitting times, but also because of my job.
Currently, I am a Consultant Care Specialist for the Aerotek @ Pfizer program. What this means is I am able to manage over 300 individuals who support the Pfizer vaccine throughout their program at Aerotek. Majority of these contractors have goals of becoming a Pfizer colleague, and my job is to help them get there. From touching up resumes, to performing mock interviews and collecting/reporting performance feedback to these consultants throughout their time here, I really am here to assure that they have the best possible experience, providing them with resources to leverage throughout their time here.
I truly believe that my job is one of the small pieces in generating millions of vaccine doses throughout the world, and is a huge deal when it comes to getting this country, and the state of Michigan, back on its feet.
